MUTARE – AFRO-jazz sensation, Faith Candy, has released a single called Usazondisiya, which is causing a splash on radio.

Faith believes the amount of airplay on the local radio stations that the single is commanding have created a pathway for her musical journey.

The silky-voiced songstress who recorded the song at Bazuka studios in Harare  said the single is already on the streets for sale.

“The single is now available in shops and streets. I’m happy with the response so far and I hope that it will reach all corners of Zimbabwe,” she said.

Faith Candy, who was born Faith Napazi, says the single is about a lover pleading with their partner to make them part of their life always, and do everything together.

“I wrote the song after seeing what people do and feel after missing their lovers,” she told ZimLive.com in an interview. “I’m giving advice to those in love the good values of true love.”

Faith is famed for her hit song ‘Zvorwadza’, which features Edith WeUtonga.

Faith says she always had a strong passion for music, even during her school days.

“I started singing at a tender age and realised that I had a talent when I was six-years-old,” she said.

Having realised her talent, she started pursuing a career in music which saw her in 1998 gracing the once famous A Stars Talent show and later on participating in the CBZ Academy. The shows gave her direction in her chosen career.
