HARARE – THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) will this weekend take a break because of the 2018 general elections being held on Monday.

Ngezi Platinum go into this break leading the pack on 44 points while fellow platinum miners FC Platinum are neck-on-neck on 20 points.

With 16 rounds of matches to played before the curtain come down on the league action, Chicken Inn are patched on third position with 37 points  while their city rivals Highlanders are two points adrift.

The remaining edition of the league promises to be exciting after the teams acquired new players to beef up their squads as they gun for the ultimate domestic price.

When the league resumes, Dynamos travel to Highlanders in a match that finds both teams struggling – but one that is guaranteed a bumper crowd at Barbourfields.
