HARARE- Sunday Chidzambwa says Khama Billiat will start against Congo Brazzaville on Sunday after the Kaizer Chiefs star was named in the travelling 18-man squad.

Speaking to reporters at the National Sports Stadium as the Warriors prepared to leave for the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying showdown on Thursday, Chidzambwa said they would approach the game with caution.

The Warriors would be compact at the back and rely on counter attacks.

“We’re going to be cautious in our approach. We will rely on counter attacks, we will not open the game too much. I regard Congo Brazzaville as a very strong side despite the fact that they have not won a match. It will be very difficult and we’ll try to bring a positive result,” Chidzambwa said.

“Billiat is certainly going to start. We are happy with his recovery, he has been cleared by the medical team and has trained for the whole training session today. That is very good for us and I can say the boys are raring to go, ” said Chidzambwa.

The Warriors are expected to leave for Congo Brazzaville on Friday.

Zimbabwe currently top Group G with three points but on goal difference, following their 3-0 win over Liberia in their opening match of the campaign. The group also consists of Democratic Republic of Congo who are second on the standings on goal difference after they managed a 3-1 win over Congo Brazzaville.

With the top two teams in the group making it to the January finals in Cameroon, a win for the Warriors will edge them closer to the finals of the biennial tournament.
