JOHANNESBURG – Former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie has called time on her relationship with the Idols SA presenter ProVerb, reports said Sunday.

The couple have been dating for a year, but Liesl felt like an “outcast” in the relationship with ProVerb dedicating most time to his children, according to the Sunday Sun.

“Liesl dumped ProVerb. There are certain things they didn’t see eye-to-eye on, so that’s part of the reason they didn’t make it. Proverb was always prioritising his kids and Liesel didn’t have a problem with that until it came between their relationship. She felt like an outcast in her own relationship,” a source told the paper.

The couple’s social media timelines are normally full of their loved-up snaps – but it has gone rather quiet on that front.

ProVerb has recently taken down all the photos of him and Liesl together, although Liesl – a presenter on Jacaranda FM’s breakfast show – still has the couple’s pictures on her Instagram account.

Liesl, who won Miss South Africa in 2015, told Sunday Sun: “Yes it’s true, but please don’t write this.”

ProVerb divorced from his wife Onalerona in December 2015 after rumours of infidelity in the marriage. The marriage produced two children.
