Harare City 0-2 FC Platinum

HARARE – FC Platinum showed early intent as their Premier League title defence got off to a flyer on Friday.

Knocked out of the African Champions League, FC Platinum were handed the honours to get the 2019 domestic season underway with the trip to Harare City.

Norman Mapeza’s men, the red hot favourites win the crown, waited until 33 minutes to get their break as Ali Sadiki finally broke the home side’s resistance.

In search of an equaliser, City threw in Tatenda Tumba, Wilfred Manondo and Kuda Musharu midway through the second half but it the visitors who surged further ahead as Elvis Moyo secured all three points after 81 minutes.
