HARARE – Dynamos sacked their coach Lloyd Chigove on Tuesday after a disastrous start to the 2019 Premier Soccer League season.

The final straw for Dynamos chiefs was their shocking 1-0 home surrender to Herentals on Easter Monday, their third defeat in succession after being humbled by Hwange (2-1) and Chicken Inn (2-0).

Fans protested at Rufaro Stadium following the defeat by Herentals demanding the coach’s head, and club chiefs finally told the 54-year-old it was time to go.

Chigove took over in September last year after Dynamos sacked Lloyd Mutasa as coach after a poor run of results.

Reports say the Harare club has approached out-of-job Tonderayi Ndiraya to return to the club after he was sacked by Ngezi Platinum towards the end of the last season.

Ironically, Ndiraya had been installed at Ngezi Platinum after being sacked by Dynamos in 2016.

Team manager Richard Chihoro is in temporary charge assisted by club captain Edward Sadomba. The pair will pick the team this weekend when Dynamos travel to TelOne if Ndiraya is not installed earlier.
