HARARE – Dynamos suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Green Fuel in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Match Day 16 clash played at Gibbo stadium on Saturday.

Nqobile Ndlovu broke the Dembare faithful’s hearts with the solitary strike after 69 minutes to end the premiership giant’s four-match unbeaten run.

Dynamos had a glut of opportunities that came their way but failed to make full use of them.

On the other hand, Green Fuel used probably the only meaningful chance of their game to earn themselves maximum points.

In other matches played Saturday, Valentine Kadonzvo beat the full-time whistle with a 90th minute strike to give title chasing Ngezi Platinum a 1-0 triumph against Cranborne Bullets and a chance to keep pressure on log leaders Highlanders.

In a match played at Bata stadium, Caps United and Triangle drew 1-1.

Nobert Zingo got the opening goal for Triangle five minutes from the breather with William Manondo making amends for the Harare side to end the match in a stalemate.

Chicken Inn beat Yadah 3-1 at Baobab and bring relief to a side that was beginning to falter in its campaign.

Bulawayo Chiefs lost 2-1 at home to visiting Herentals in a match played at Luveve.

Following Saturday’s round of premiership clashes, Highlanders still top the standings with 31 points while Ngezi are second with 30 although they have played a game more than the log leaders.

Manica Diamonds are third on 26 from 15 games played while Dynamos, Chicken Inn and FC Platinum are fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

FC Platinum have however played a game less.

Bulawayo Chiefs are seventh on 23 points from 16 games played while Caps are number eight with 15 games played.
