HARARE – The 2023 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) race enters Week 3 this weekend with the mouth-watering Sunday clash between Highlanders and champions FC Platinum at Barbourfields headlining the fixtures.

The Bulawayo giants have nothing in their minds except a revenge mission against a side that has dominated the fixture for many years.

Bosso Technical Manager, Baltemar Brito was quoted saying he was ready for the Sunday clash.

“Highlanders has not performed well against FC Platinum in the past years, but that’s all in the past now, we want to break that record.

“I am ready for the game on Sunday and to meet our fans for the first time at home this season,” said Brito.

Highlanders have gone for nearly 10 years without beating the Zvishavane side in a league match.

Amahlolanyama last collected maximum points against the four-time-in-a-row champions in August 2014 when they won 1-0 at Mandava stadium.

But before the Bosso clash, football fans can look forward to another potentially explosive tie at the National Sports Stadium Saturday between log leaders Dynamos and newboys Simba Bhora.

Dembare, who occupy top spot after two wins out of two games played so far, are wary of the danger posed by a side that has in its ranks, former club head coach Tonderai Ndiraya and names that once donned the famous blue and white jersey.

In other Saturday fixtures, newcomers Sheasham entertain Yadah FC at Mandava Stadium while Bulawayo Chiefs host Black Rhinos at Luveve.

Cranborne Bullets take on Chicken Inn at Baobab Stadium.

On Sunday, Caps United are at home to ZPC Kariba at the National Sports Stadium while Ngezi Platinum travel to Gibbo for a clash with Triangle FC.

The Hwange and Green Fuels clash at Luveve on Sunday puts the curtain on Week 3 of the premiership calendar.

All the matches kick off at 3pm.

Meanwhile, Herentals and Manica Diamonds played to a 1-1 draw in an early fixture played this Friday at the National Sports Stadium.

Liberty Chakoroma got the goal for Manica Diamonds while Tafadzwa Jimu scored for the students.
