Zimbabwe 2-0 Comoros

DURBAN- Khama Billiat scored a stunning second as Zimbabwe claimed a routine victory over the Comoros to book their place in the last four of the Cosafa Cup at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban on Saturday.

Evans Rusike met Tendayi Darikwa’s cross with a firm header to give the Warriors the lead.

Billiat, starting in a strong line-up fielded by Sunday Chidzambwa, then volleyed in from angle with a ridiculous skill as Zimbabwe led 2-0 into halftime.

Zimbabwe will face Zambia or Malawi in the semi-finals at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday.

Malawi and Zambia kick-off on Sunday evening.

Lesotho also sealed their last four place with a penalty shoot-out victory over Uganda after the match had ended deadlocked 0-0.

Lesotho will face the winners between South Africa and Botswana, who also play on Sunday, in the other semi-final.

Zimbabwe is using the Cosafa tournament as a warm-up for the 2019 African Cup of Nations finals, which get underway in Egypt on June 21. Zimbabwe face the hosts in the opener.
