HARARE – Zimbabwe national team captain Marvelous Nakamba has signed a two-year deal with Greek top-flight side Panetolikos.

The 32-year-old midfielder joins as a free agent following the expiry of his short-term contract with English club Sheffield Wednesday.

Nakamba, who began his career at Bantu Rovers, made his breakthrough in Europe after joining French side AS Nancy’s reserve team in 2012, before earning a brief stint with the senior team in 2014.

He later moved to Dutch club Vitesse and went on to star for Belgian giants Club Brugge.

A big-money transfer to English Premier League side Aston Villa followed, before subsequent spells at Luton Town and Sheffield Wednesday.
