VICTORIA FALLS – German football legend Bastian Schweinsteiger arrived in Victoria Falls on Thursday with the UEFA Champions League trophy as part of its global tour, offering fans a rare chance to get up close with the iconic silverware.

Victoria Falls, Zambian side, marks the final stop of the trophy’s African leg, which also included visits to Kenya, and South Africa — the only African countries selected for the prestigious tour.

Schweinsteiger, a UEFA ambassador, has accompanied the trophy across several continents, with stops in Vietnam, Indonesia, China, South Korea, and Japan, ahead of the Champions League final later this year.
