HARARE – Highlanders and Caps United face off at Barbourfields stadium this Sunday in a Match Day 30 premiership clash in which both traditional giants have nothing left to play for except pride.

On a different day, one of the most followed fixtures of the domestic game could be an explosive top of the table encounter.

But both teams have fallen way behind in the race for the domestic game’s biggest prize with the 2023 premiership season only five matches away from finish.

The dead rubber status of the clash will chip off some glamour from the headline fixture of the weekend’s round of matches.

In another Match Day 30 fixture to look forward to, former champions Chicken Inn and FC Platinum clash at Luveve stadium on Saturday while Green Fuel host Bulawayo Chiefs at Green Fuel.

Bottom side Cranborne Bullets play Triangle at the National Sports Stadium while Sheasham take on impressive Manica Diamonds at Bata stadium.

The clash between Simba Bhora and Herentals complete Saturday’s premiership fixtures.

On Sunday, Highlanders are at home to Caps United while Hwange would be keen to delay table toppers Ngezi Platinum’s title joy when they host the firm favourites at the Colliery.

On and off Dynamos are at home to Black Rhinos at the National Sports Stadium while the match between Yadah and ZPC Kariba puts the lid on the weekend’s league fixtures.
