HARARE – Ngezi Platinum on Monday dislodged Highlanders from the summit of the log standings following a 1-0 victory over Yadah in a delayed Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Match Day 12 clash played at the National Sports Stadium.

Nigel Makumbe got the all-important goal for Madamburo after being set up by Walter Vuwa only 11 minutes into the game.

The Mhondoro-Ngezi outfit has emerged as one of the most potent contenders to the premiership title after pulling some good results which include its 2-1 defeat of Dynamos the previous week.

Following Match Day 12 round of matches, Ngezi lead the standings with 23 points, followed by Highlanders who have with 22.

Chicken Inn are third on 21 while FC Platinum also has the same number of points but are fourth because of an inferior goal difference.
