HARARE – Premier League title-chasers Hardrock have signed Zimbabwe international Prince Dube, bolstering their attack.

Dube, 28, was unveiled at Chahwanda Stadium on Thursday, a week after winning the league title with Simba SC of Tanzania.

Hardrock trail leaders Scottland by five points, having played a game less, and Dube is set to partner Washington Navaya, who has been carrying the burden of finding the goals since Zambian striker Andrew Phiri departed last month.

The forward began his career at Highlanders before stints at Azam FC in Tanzania, SuperSport United in South Africa and most recently Simba SC.

Kelvin Kaindu’s side have been busy in the transfer market, also securing defender Mcdonald Rameck from Malawian top-flight side Silver Strikers and national team centreback Gerald Takwara on a free transfer. Takwara has had spells in Saudi Arabia, Libya and Mozambique.

It was not immediately clear whether Dube, Rameck and Takwara have completed all registration formalities in time to feature in Sunday’s blockbuster against CAPS United at Chahwanda.

United, meanwhile, have announced the signing of former Zimbabwe goalkeeper Washington Arubi to shore up their defence.
