KWEKWE – Ambitious Premier League debutants Hardrock have agreed a deal to sign Highlanders midfielder Mongameli Tshuma, the club has confirmed.
Tshuma will remain with Highlanders for the rest of the season before completing the switch next year.
Neither club has disclosed the transfer fee, although reports suggest Hardrock will pay around $200,000.
Hardrock chairman Wellington Mpandare said the club was deliberately keeping details under wraps to avoid unsettling the player.
“For now I can’t talk much, but he is a Hardrock player. We don’t want to distract him because he is still playing for Highlanders,” Mpandare said.
He confirmed Tshuma will link up with his new teammates during the off-season.
Mpandare added that the club is targeting four to five more signings as they look to strengthen a squad he believes already has quality.
Hardrock recently secured the signature of former Highlanders striker Prince Dube as they continue their pursuit of league leaders Scottland.
